An information session was hosted for Noosa Waters residents by Seymour Group & Marketplace Communications on 20th August to assist and inform residents about plans and all relevant matters relating to the development on the former banana farm.
You can download Seymour Group's FAQs and the NWRA notes on the meeting. FAQs part2 - Response to 20th August information session (added 9th September 2008). Notice posted at 9:30am on 27th August 2008 |
Pat McGuire and Melody File of Market Place Communications (MPC) are representing developer, Seymour Group Pty Ltd, to liaise with residents and owners about issues relating to the Banana Plantation Development. Please see Seymour's introductory sheet (322 KBs) and a letter of introduction from MPC. The latter will also appear in the next Noosa Waters newsletter.
In an effort to streamline communications, the NWRA Management Committee has established a single point of contact for communication on matters relating to the development. Dialogue with the developer will provide a platform for input at this final detailed planning stage about how to minimise the disruption, danger and distress to residents, owners and wildlife. This channel will also be in place for concerns during the construction phases.
It is to everyone’s benefit to ensure that there is positive communication between the developer and residents and owners of Noosa Waters by reducing frustration and confusion and that it is achieved with the minimum amount of resources. Using this NWRA facility should help to create an effective working relationship with the developer and PR company.
Residents and owners are encouraged to consider not only their concerns, but think about potential, realistic solutions – now! To obtain information about ideas already under consideration, or to submit your concerns or ideas, please contact: where they will be compiled, then sent to Pat for the developer’s due consideration, - on the understanding that there is no promise or requirement for the developer to adopt these ideas.
In the next few weeks, there will be a briefing meeting for all interested residents and NWRA members and an article in the upcoming NWRA newsletter. The development will also be an agenda item at the next General Meeting.
Development news items will be posted on this website; where possible, via email; on a quarterly basis by newsletter, and on an "as needs" basis by hand delivery.
