NOOSA CROQUET CLUB

Noosa Croquet Club

The Noosa Croquet Club, one of the finest croquet clubs in Australia, is located at the end of Seashell Place (off Seacove Court which is off Shorehaven Drive) in Noosa Waters.

Croquet is a sport that is played all the year round by persons of all ages (from 10 to 80+ years) and equally well by males and females. It can provide great exercise for your body (walking up to 3.5 kms. per game) and good exercise for your brain as it is a game which can challenge you mentally, and requires you to think strategically (like in chess or snooker and billiards).

Hoop and ball The Noosa Croquet Club has five very well maintained croquet courts situated in beautiful grounds with attractive garden surrounds. The Club has a clubhouse, with kitchen and toilet facilities, at which monthly social events are held right throughout the year.

The Club currently has a growing membership of 62 and regularly hosts National, Regional and Inter Club tournaments as well as its own Intra Club competitions and Annual Club Championships. Its members range from very experienced State players to newcomers to the sport and members may play all or any of the three mallet codes - Association Croquet, Golf Croquet and Ricochet. New members, whether they wish to play just socially or competitively, are always welcome.

Anyone who is interested in coming and trying the great game of croquet or is interested in joining the Club should contact the President, Brian Rudd (phone 5447 1890 or email bandlrudd@bigpond.com) or the Vice President, Elizabeth Van Vugt (phone 5455 5959 or email elizvv@ozemail.com.au) to obtain more information. Playing times are displayed on a notice attached to the front gate (off the car park) to the Club's grounds.

(Note: on "Come and Try days" all playing tuition and all necessary equipment is provided free - all you need is a pair of flat soled shoes)
